The College is pleased to offer faculty the OER Academy, a combination of continuing education and compensation for the adaptation and creation of open educational resources.  Starting this Fall, after completion of a self-paced, online course, faculty can apply for a grant of up to 2 years and $2,000 for the creation of a textbook, ancillaries for a textbook, or a collection of materials that students can access for free.  Guidance on copyright and publishing provided through out.  See this link for more information or contact Rachelle Stivers, Library Director (rachelle.stivers@heartland.edu)
