LITR 112

In this course students will read, discuss and analyze a number of full length graphic novels as well as shorter comic books and comic strips to acquire a working knowledge of their historical, social and cultural significance, as they work to gain a deeper understanding of the genre and its place within literature and Post-Secondary Academia as a whole. Students will also learn to discuss and interpret the form (both literary and artistic), value (both literary and artistic) and literary meaning (applying concepts of elements of fiction: i.e. plot, character and symbolism).
