Resources for Remote Students

This guide provides information on remote resources and services for off-campus students.

Obtaining a Student ID

Student IDs are issued in the library on the Normal campus, located at 1500 West Raab Road, in the Student Commons Building.

To have an ID issued, students can come to the library during our normal hours of operation. Please let the desk staff know you are here for your student ID. You must present a photo ID (such as a driver's license) and have your Heartland student ID number ready in order to have an ID card issued.

Remote ID options:

If you are unable to come to campus, you can have your ID mailed to you. Please email the following information to Ethan Walter:

  • Your Heartland student ID number
  • Your address
  • A photo of yourself (head and shoulders only; nothing obscuring your face)
  • A photo or scan of another form of photo ID, which contains your name and photo (ex. driver's license, passport, etc.)
