Student Alerts
Please fill out an alert for each student who is struggling, especially if you are planning to withdraw for any reason. Fill out the form on Faculty Central or via this link: Student Alert Form. Success Coaches follow up on every alert received within 2 business days. If you have trouble submitting an alert, you can also email Success Connections directly with the students’ information to successconnections@heartland.edu.
Faculty Partnerships
Along with providing early intervention, Success Coaches will continue to partner with Faculty to provide additional support to students. Success Coaching sessions for extra credit, classroom visits, and student success workshops are three of our featured services to consider using this semester. Emergency Funds and Basic Needs Resources for Students
Emergency funds may be available for students experiencing situations in which a financial emergency is affecting their success. Students wanting to apply for Emergency Funds need to begin the process with a Success Connections Coach. Students can make an appointment through the Navigate tile in their Student Center or emailing successconnections@heartland.edu.
If you have a student experiencing housing insecurity or homelessness, please have them contact the campus HOUSE Liaison, Jen Vieley, at jennifer.vieley@heartland.edu or ext. 8055.
LinkedIn Learning for students
Students will continue to have access to LinkedIn Learning virtual resources for the 2023-2024 school year. This is an excellent resource to consider offering for additional learning/support or integrating into course content. Faculty can curate content specifically related to their course and allow students access. For more information visit LinkedIn Learning in the Employee Portal.
