Updates for Faculty - Fall 2024

At Heartland Community College Pontiac (HCCP), a student can:

• Take proctored exams – appointments required. Same day appointment requests may not be available. Call 815-842-6777, email Pontiac.Center@heartland.edu, or visit myHeartland to schedule an appointment

• Work with a tutor on Thursdays from 10am-12pm. Access online tutoring at  www.heartland.edu/tutoring

• Meet with a counselor in person on Tuesdays from 10:30am-12:30pm. Access online counseling at www.heartland.edu/counseling

• Meet with an academic advisor & success coach, John Salzer, john.salzer@heartland.edu, 309-268-8953

• Participate in a variety of activities with other local students throughout the semester in our Hawk Hangout or Student Center

• Study on campus, access Wi-Fi, work in a quiet setting, collaborate with fellow students, and print class materials

• Coordinate with the Pontiac staff to request library or bookstore materials be sent to the Pontiac campus and then returned to Normal.

• Access a food pantry with a variety of food and non-food items

• Pay tuition with check, debit/credit, or a money order

• Seek additional assistance from external services with on-site organizations such as Livingston County Workforce Services and Mid-Central Community Action

Hours of Operation: the center is open 8am-7pm Monday-Thursday. Staff will be on site for students and faculty during evening classes that end after 7pm
