General Classroom Semester Accommodations
- Students who have requested semester accommodations will have their accommodations sent out in the weeks prior to the start of the semester.
- Faculty who have student disclose a diagnosis to them can submit an alert on behalf of the student
- Reason Code: REFER: ACCOMMODATION – Classroom-based Accommodations
- Students who need accommodations must self-disclose and complete the following process:
- Once all of the necessary steps are taken, reasonable and approved accommodations will be sent to instructors.
- Faculty will be prompted to sign off on the accommodation notification as a confirmation the instructor has received and opened the notification.
Temporary Medical Accommodations
- Temporary Medical Accommodations are for those students who need accommodations due to a temporary medical situation or family medical needs.
- Such requests should be absences lasting a week or longer, and does not serve as an absence tracing system.
- A student who needs to miss one class should work with their instructor.
- Students in need of Temporary Medical Accommodations can be supported as follows:
- Approved accommodation will be sent to both the student and instructor regarding the guidelines for the approved accommodations.
